Warlock and Judge Dread..............
by Judge Dread injust to let you know.. i was kicked off this board as warlock.. over the period of being off the board, i sent simon an apology and asked him to re-instate my account and i would apologize to the board for my offensive behavior on the thread that got me booted out of jwn.. actually, i sent about 3 e-mails to him, but he never responded.. i needed to get back here, so i set up this new account as judge dread, but i never really liked doing it.. basically, what i am telling you all is: to whoever i have offended under either name, i am sorry.. i just needed to clear this up, as i will no longer be posting here.. people here come and go, and we often wonder what happened.. well, i won't say what happened, but at least i got to say goodbye.. warlock .

Just to let you know.
I was kicked off this board as Warlock.
Over the period of being off the board, I sent Simon an apology and asked him to re-instate my account and I would apologize to the board for my offensive behavior on the thread that got me booted out of JWN.
Actually, I sent about 3 e-mails to him, but he never responded.
I needed to get back here, so I set up this new account as Judge Dread, but I never really liked doing it.
Basically, what I am telling you all is: To whoever I have offended under either name, I am sorry.
I just needed to clear this up, as I will no longer be posting here.
People here come and go, and we often wonder what happened.
Well, I won't say what happened, but at least I got to say goodbye.

Would Witnesses REALLY drink the "Kool-aid" if the faithful slave told them to? Yes or no?
by Witness 007 ina "spiritual leader" tells his followers the must put on rebok running shoes and "drink the cool-aid" to join a ufo in the tail of a comet and "go to a better world" so, afew dozen young people do just that to get "beamed up" to the mothership.
heavens gate cult 1990's.. my mother says "she is faithful to the organisation till her death" which makes me wonder if they ordered a mass suicide like the reverend jim jones did to escape a "great tribulation"....how many witnesses would really drink the cool-aid?...
without a gun pointed at their head of course!.

Anyone who thinks that JW's would actually drink the "kool-aid" needs to have their head examined.
I understand how much some of you hate the Org., but come on.
Think, people, think.

to buy a house or not... suggestions, experience, help!
by Aussie Oz inmany years ago i bought a house because the government basically threw money at us and the mortgage was pretty much the same as the weekly rent in $ per week.. obviusly that has changed, here in aust real estate has gone through the roof with a house considered a bargain at $300,000 for a first home buyer.. so here i am at 47, thinking about buying a house so that when i retire, the wife and i will not have to pay rent or mortgage at all.
we have to raise $25k more (we have 10) for deposit and fees in the next 18 months to do this.
(offer is to buy mil house at reduced market price).

The Witnesses are freaking out
by Sour Grapes ini still go to a few meetings a month just to keep members of my family happy.. the witnesses seemed to be getting all worked up about how close the end.
it sorta feels like the 1975 era only 35 years later.

I'm telling you, the whole 2012 thing is going through the JWs. It is?
Enlighten me, because I've never heard ANY JW's say anything about 2012 and the Big-A.

Japanese Sumo Wrestling, Good Or Bad?
by Scott77 ini hate to be a sports critic but nevertheless, i find this kind of wrestling as going far on the top.
i have great respect for other country's culture but the question is: how far should we tolerant extremist sport that glorify pain and suffering as a price of achievement?
what is your reactions?

Scott,
I think you have issues that go deeper than Sumo wrestling.

Something Mary Wrote
by snowbird inhas been bugging me since i read it.. she mentioned how a classmate took special delight in tormenting her due to mary's being a jw.. mary mentioned that this girl pointed to and mocked her when she couldn't share in a birthday?
celebration.. are some kids really that cruel?
where were the teachers?.

Snowy,
My daughter experienced "tolerance" from her classmates. She never had a problem being picked on about her faith.
Now, as for Mary, I would like to pull her hair .
